The Park Hotel

Hotel was spotless and staff very welcoming. However very disappointed with our high tea and certainly not worth £22.50. The bread was dry and the cake selection poor. The scones were the best.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The facilities are spotless. The bar and restaurant area are really big. My mother uses a walking trolley to mobilise and all areas were accessible with no steps to negotiate. We had breakfast and evening meals and the food was of a high standard with a good choice of menu options. The staff were lovely, professional and friendly. The rooms are comfortable with the usual tea, coffee etc. The TV is large which is a plus. The hotel is located by a park and the river and walking distance to Barnstaple centre. Parking is plentiful.

We found this fabulous hotel on Google when looking for a hotel in Barnstaple, and we were not disappointed. The Park Hotel team really do go the extra mile! Thank you to Sandra, Jake, Destiny, and all of the team. The Park hotel is spotless, clean and modern...and £40 per night cheaper than an Inn which is close by. The room was airy, clean, modern with a welcome tea tray which had various teas and coffees and also yummy biscuits . The bathroom had white fluffy towels, hand cream, hand wash, shampoo, hair conditioner etc. Our room had a hairdryer, plenty of plug points, a fridge, wine glasses, tumblers etc. The bed linen was clean, fresh and crisp with attention to detail and beautiful curtains which were fully lined (so no day light coming in), the room was so warm and cosy. We had a fabulous breakfast the Park Hotel had plenty of high quality fresh ingredients, so we started with a continental breakfast and decided to go for a small bowl of granola with fresh fruit and a sprinkling of crystallised ginger , (obviously if you wanted more you were more than welcome to go back up). We then chose smoked haddock with poached eggs which also had a wonderful lemon sauce which was absolutely delicious . We also had fresh orange juice, tea and coffee which set us up for the day (other fresh juices and hot drinks were available). The Park Hotel had a great menu and the bar area had lots of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to choose from. Our room had a great view of the park and we were right in the centre of Barnstaple. Thank you to the Park Hotel team for going over an above in making our stay enjoyable.

We have stayed at the Park Hotel before and it never disappoints. We booked at very short notice. We were upgraded to a lovely clean warm room after being greeted by friendly reception staff. During our evening we ate a lovely roast on the bar area and had excellent service. My husband and i we're so relaxed we came down to breakfast too late on a Weekday morning. But the resturant staff were very accommadating and brought my husband 'a perfect cooked breakfast' toast and tea. Nothing was too much trouble. We would rate our stay 12/10 . Great place, very clean and tidy. In the room: air-conditioning, fridge and safe. Big parking, great restaurant with good food and very friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic stay. Staff were lovely, room was really nice and clean. Great bed. Bathroom very good size with really nice shower products. Breakfast was perfect. Great choice on the menu for breakfast and one of the freshest continental breakfast iv come across with a really good range of things to choose from.

Staying here for work, and this is probably one of the nicest places I have stayed. Perfectly clean, all staff have been extremely polite and welcoming. Great decor throughout, really smart rooms and the food is delicious. Nice and quiet spot, very close to town centre too. Highly recommended.

Good location, small car park. Lovely reception and room. Food was good and cooked to a nice standard, only let down was the £7 charge to walk it up a flight of stairs.

Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Good food both evening and breakfast

Had a carvery with my partner and both were blown away by the quality of the food, absolutely first class, best carvery ever had. Staff were very kind and attentive. A must visit and as living local will be back lots more
